Taft High Schools & Clarvida Partner to Inspire a Drug-Free Future

This October, Clarvida proudly joined Taft Union High School and Buena Vista High School for an awesome Red Ribbon Week celebration, an annual commitment to drug-free living and student well-being. Throughout the week, Clarvida’s team partnered with school staff to lead activities, share resources, and engage students in honest conversations about mental health and substance use.

One highlight came from Buena Vista’s social worker, Sonya Adams, who shared an exciting milestone: this year, the school saw its highest number of student pledges to remain drug-free for 30 days. For the Clarvida team, that record participation is a meaningful sign that the message is reaching students and resonating in new ways.

“We love working alongside our local schools,” the Clarvida team shared. “Every opportunity to connect with students strengthens awareness and opens doors for support.”

Red Ribbon Week may last just seven days, but its impact stretches far beyond. The partnership between Taft’s high schools and Clarvida continues to grow, grounded in a shared commitment to helping students make healthy choices, access mental health support, and build brighter futures. We are fortunate to have a partnership in Clarvida.
